R.U.M. RADIO is Radio Upper Murray, part of Australia’s community based FM Broadcast network. Using two transmitters & three studios, R.U.M. serves the communities of Walwa, Tumbarumba & Corryong in the border district of south-eastern New South Wales & north-eastern Victoria. Staffed by volunteers, R.U.M. is a non-profit organization, funded by sponsors & grants.

MUDDCLUB is a two hour program hosted by Stephen Lomas where he plays music according to what he finds in his collection & however the heck he feels. Exploiting the Folk+Plus theme, the playlist sometimes includes The Pogues or the Maytalls, sometimes Tom Waits or Joni Mitchell. But always it includes Stephen’s “Moment of Bob” - a straight set of songs from Bob Dylan, as well as a good sprinkling of music from Independent Artists - the great unknowns, or to coin an Australian term, the Battlers.

WANT AIRPLAY on “Australia’s smallest FM station”? Stephen is interested in your well produced cd just so long as you are an unsigned struggling artist. It will need to fit in the Folk+Plus format of “more than ‘Lemon Tree’ but less than Metallica.” Folk (gutsy), Alternative, Americana, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Country (think Hank or Jerry Jeff) are all welcome. Sorry, Techno & Electronic aren’t going to make it. Stephen is curious about the poetry of Rap but realize we’re a community station - language is a concern.
